Overview ¶
Command readfmt formats read.txt files.
For usage, run the command with the '-h' flag.
If no file arguments are provided the command reads from standard input.
Formatted output is written by default to standard output, unless one of '-w', '-d', or '-l' is provided. If the '-w' flag is provided the command overwrites the input file instead. The '-d' flag makes the command print diffs instead of complete formatted files. The '-l' flag makes the command print the names of files whose formatting differs from readfmt's.
The '-fill' flag fills in missing details, such as the published year, for each book in a calendar year section or in the not-cataloged section. This requires a network connection.
Note that formatting a read.txt file will mark any implict rereads present as explicit rereads.
