The Jolokia agent and proxy input plugins collect JMX metrics from an HTTP endpoint using Jolokia's JSON-over-HTTP protocol.

Jolokia Metric Configuration
Each metric
declaration generates a Jolokia request to fetch telemetry from a JMX MBean.
