Healthz is a HTTP handler for the /healthz endpoint which responses with 200 OK status code if the Gardener controller manager is healthy; and with 500 Internal Server error status code otherwise.

InitMetrics takes an Kubernetes <client> for a Garden cluster and initiate the collection of Gardener and Shoot related metrics. It returns a <http.Handler> to register on a webserver, which provides the collected metrics in the Prometheus format.

func UpdateHealth

func UpdateHealth(isHealthy bool)

UpdateHealth expects a boolean value <isHealthy> and assigns it to the package-internal 'healthy' variable.
