FORGE_GO_BASE
Description of the app here
Usage
This application provides 2 servers:
rest - RESTful service
cd cmd/rest
go build && ./rest
or
go run main.go
(optional) -restPort <port number> e.g.: ./rest -restPort 10001
grpc - GPRC service
cd cmd/grpc
go build && ./grpc
or
go run main.go
Env Vars
FORGE_GO_BASE_ROOT_DIR
needs to set, if not, the application will panic. For production like environments, this should point to the directory where the binary will reside. For development this should be the project's root directory. This can be used for a few things:
- the main one, during development, you can supply .env.* files in the root directory and code within
config.go
, will load this up and set env vars.
- setting the root directory to serve up static files.
See config/config.go for the complete list of env vars
, most are self-explanatory. Some additional explanation will follow in this document.
