Overview ¶
The escaper package implements automatic contextual HTML escaping. It is derived from the auto-escaping logic in the html/template package, but it operates at run time rather than at the time of template compilation.

ErrorCode is a code for a kind of error.

We define codes for each error that manifests while escaping templates, but escaped templates may also fail at runtime.
Output: "ZgotmplZ" Example:
<img src="{{.X}}"> where {{.X}} evaluates to `javascript:...`
Discussion:
"ZgotmplZ" is a special value that indicates that unsafe content reached a CSS or URL context at runtime. The output of the example will be <img src="#ZgotmplZ"> If the data comes from a trusted source, use content types to exempt it from filtering: URL(`javascript:...`).

An Escaper wraps an io.Writer and provides automatic contextual escaping for HTML output.
func ForHTTP ¶
ForHTTP returns an Escaper for an HTTP request. It compresses the response as specified in the Accept-Encoding header, and sets the Content-Type and Content-Encoding headers appropriately. The returned Closer must be closed before the HTTP handler returns.
func (*Escaper) Print ¶
Print writes some HTML. It interprets its arguments as an alternating list of strings of literal HTML and values that need to be escaped.
