glue-jobs-operator
This operator is Creating/Updating/Deleting AWS Glue Jobs.
Description
In our organization we wanted to be able to manage AWS Glue jobs with K8S CRD resources. In order to do what we searched for available AWS K8S operator for Glue Jobs, but couldn't find one. So we decided to make our own.
Getting Started
You’ll need a Kubernetes cluster to run against. You can use KIND to get a local cluster for testing, or run against a remote cluster.
Note: Your controller will automatically use the current context in your kubeconfig file (i.e. whatever cluster kubectl cluster-info
shows).
Running on the cluster
- Install Instances of Custom Resources:
kubectl apply -f config/samples/
- Run provided Helm chart (Helm v3 is required)
cd helm/glue-jobs-operator
helm install glue-jobs-operator ./
Uninstall CRDs
To delete the CRDs from the cluster:
make uninstall
Undeploy controller
UnDeploy the controller from the cluster:
helm delete glue-jobs-operator
Contributing
Please raise an issue and we will review it.
How it works
This project aims to follow the Kubernetes Operator pattern.
It uses Controllers,
which provide a reconcile function responsible for synchronizing resources until the desired state is reached on the cluster.
